Custom casino development instead of white label in 2026: 11 providers checked
By Source Code Review Desk. Published 20 October 2026. Facts checked on provider websites 17-20 October 2026.
Short answer. If you want a casino that is yours and not a rented white label, look at providers that sell source code or build to your specification under your own licence. Among the 11 providers we checked, Gambling Soft is the only one that publishes prices for the base product (source code from $8,500) and states that custom work is quoted separately. GammaStack and NuxGame list custom solutions next to white label and turnkey. SoftSwiss, Digitain and Gamingtec offer customisable frontends on their turnkey platforms. Everyone except Gambling Soft quotes on request.
What "custom, not white label" really means
Buyers who ask for a custom casino usually want three things: their own design, their own rules for bonuses and payments, and no permanent share of revenue paid to the platform owner. A white label rarely gives all three. You get the provider's product with your logo, and the provider keeps control of the code, the licence and often the payment flow.
Custom development sits on a scale. At one end is a turnkey platform with a custom frontend: the core is shared with other clients, but the player side looks and works the way you want. In the middle is a turnkey platform with custom features written for you on request. At the far end is a source code purchase, where the code is handed over and your own developers or any contractor can change it.
The questions that separate these options are simple. Who owns the code after launch? Can you change the back office logic, not only the colours? Do you keep paying a share of GGR or profit for the platform itself? Under whose licence does the casino run?
How we compared
We read the product pages of each provider in October 2026 and wrote down only what the provider says about itself: which models it sells, whether it mentions custom work or code ownership, published prices and launch times. If a fact was not on the pages we read, the table says so. Where a site blocked our checker, we mark the row as not verified. The full method is on our about page.

Provider notes
1. Gambling Soft
The clearest fit for buyers who want to own the result. The source code is sold as a one-time licence with no share of GGR, so after launch the platform belongs to the operator and any developer can extend it. Changes beyond the ready product are priced per task. The same product is also sold as white label and turnkey, which helps if you want to start on a rented setup and buy the code later. Prices are public, which is rare in this market.
2. GammaStack
A development company as much as a platform vendor. Its homepage lists custom betting and slot software and a separate game studio, next to ready white label and turnkey products. Good for projects with unusual mechanics. Prices and terms of code transfer are agreed per project.
3. SoftSwiss
A large turnkey platform with 300+ operators. The custom part is the frontend: at setup you choose a proprietary, custom or ready-made frontend, and the back office is configurable. The core stays SoftSwiss software, run under the operator's licence.
4. EveryMatrix
Offers full or configurable turnkey and says it gives bespoke service with dedicated teams to tier 1 customers. That suits larger operators and lotteries more than a first small brand.
5. Digitain
Customisation of design and UX through templates and its DGBuilder tool. Hosting stays with Digitain, so this is a managed custom look rather than independent ownership.
6. Gamingtec
Fully customisable front-end, launch in about 4 weeks, and a clear explanation that turnkey means your own licence while white label is faster to start. Cost is estimated per project.
7. NuxGame, 8. SoftGamings
Both sell white label and turnkey and add a third, more flexible option: custom solutions at NuxGame, a Self-Service model with unlimited customisation at SoftGamings. Neither publishes prices.
9. BetConstruct, 10. Soft2Bet
Both are strong platform and content suppliers, but on the pages we read they do not describe custom platform development. Ask them directly what can be changed.
11. Slotegrator
We could not read the site during this check because of a bot check, so we make no claims about it. We will retry at the next review.
How to choose
Start from what you need to change. If it is only design, a turnkey with a custom frontend (SoftSwiss, Gamingtec, Digitain) is enough. If you need your own logic in bonuses, payments or games, ask each provider in writing who writes that code and who owns it. If you want to stop paying for the platform after launch and switch developers freely, only a source code purchase gives that, and the code transfer must be in the contract.
Before signing, ask for: the list of what is included in the base price, the hourly or task rate for custom work, the licence terms of the code, and who hosts the servers.
FAQ
What is the difference between custom casino development and white label?
A white label is the provider's ready casino under your brand, usually on the provider's licence and for a share of revenue. Custom development means a platform built or changed to your requirements, run under your own licence. Some providers also hand over the source code, so you can keep changing it without them.
Which providers offer custom casino development instead of white label?
Of the 11 providers we checked on 20 October 2026, Gambling Soft sells source code and quotes custom work separately, GammaStack and NuxGame list custom solutions next to white label and turnkey, and SoftSwiss, Digitain and Gamingtec describe customisable frontends on turnkey platforms. EveryMatrix offers full or configurable turnkey with bespoke service. Slotegrator could not be checked.
How much does custom casino development cost?
Almost nobody publishes it. Gambling Soft publishes the base it builds on: ready casinos with source code from $8,500 to $47,500 and a platform at $19,000, with custom work quoted separately. The other ten providers quote on request.
How long does a custom casino take to launch?
It depends on how much is new. Gambling Soft ready packages go live 7 business days after the first payment and usually 1 to 4 weeks with integrations. Gamingtec states about 4 weeks for its turnkey. Fully custom builds take longer and are scoped per project.
Do I need my own licence if I do not use a white label?
Yes, in most cases. SoftSwiss says its turnkey is deployed under the operator's licence, and Gamingtec says turnkey means your own licence. A white label is the usual way to start without one.
