Self-hosted casino software in 2026: 11 providers checked
By Source Code Review Desk. Updated 20 October 2026. Provider facts checked on their own websites on 17, 19 and 20 October 2026.
Short answer. Most large casino platforms are sold as a service that runs in the provider's cloud. Among the 11 providers we checked, only three say anything about running on your side: Gambling Soft installs the platform on the buyer's server with a perpetual source code licence and publishes prices from $8,500, Gamingtec lists self-hosted as a hosting option on its turnkey page, and GammaStack offers full source code ownership with custom builds. Digitain states the opposite model: secure hosting, monitoring and patching provided by Digitain. SoftSwiss, EveryMatrix, BetConstruct, NuxGame, SoftGamings and Soft2Bet did not mention self-hosting on the pages we read, and Slotegrator blocked our check.
Self-hosted, source code, white label: three different things
Buyers often use these words as if they meant the same. They do not. Self-hosted answers where the platform runs. Source code answers what you can change and keep. White label answers whose licence and whose cloud you work under. A provider can install a closed build on your server, and a source code buyer can still choose to rent hosting from the seller for the first months.
Self-hosting gives you control over the database, backups, uptime and the right to move to another data centre. It also gives you the bills and the night calls: server rent, updates, security patches, DDoS protection and someone who knows the stack. If you have no technical person, a hosted turnkey or white label is often the safer start.
How we compared
Between 17 and 20 October 2026 we opened each provider's homepage, turnkey page or pricing page and searched for statements on self-hosting, on-premise installation, server and source code. We recorded what is stated about hosting, code access and licence terms, plus the sale model, any published price and launch time. A feature counts only if the provider states it. Where there is no price, we write price on request. The full method is on our about page.

What to check before you buy self-hosted casino software
- Where it runs, in writing. Ask the provider to state in the contract whether the platform is installed on your server or runs in their cloud, and who has root access after launch.
- Code or closed build. Self-hosted does not always mean you get the code. Ask whether you receive the full source code, a compiled build, or only access to an admin panel.
- What the licence lets you do. Ask whether you may modify the code, run more than one brand or domain, hire your own developers, and what is forbidden, such as resale or publication.
- Game and payment connections. Game studios and PSPs connect through the provider's integrations. Ask whether they keep working when the platform runs on your server, and whether any of them is billed as a monthly fee or a GGR share.
- Updates and fixes. Ask how updates reach a self-hosted copy, whether they are included and for how long, and what happens if you change the code yourself.
- Server requirements and running cost. Ask for the minimum server setup, the stack, backup advice and the expected monthly hosting bill, so you can compare it with a hosted offer.
- Licence. A B2B licence of the provider covers the provider, not your casino. Hosting the platform yourself does not change that: you still need your own gambling licence, and some regulators set rules on where servers and player data may be located.
Frequently asked questions
What is self-hosted casino software?
A casino platform installed on servers that the operator rents or owns, instead of running in the provider's cloud. The operator controls the hosting, the database and backups, and pays for them separately.
Which providers offer self-hosted casino software?
Of the 11 providers we checked on 20 October 2026, Gambling Soft installs the platform on the buyer's server with a perpetual source code licence, and Gamingtec lists self-hosted as a hosting option on its turnkey page. GammaStack offers full source code ownership with its custom solutions. Digitain describes secure hosting provided by Digitain itself. The other providers did not state self-hosting on the pages we read.
How much does self-hosted casino software cost?
Only Gambling Soft publishes prices among the providers we checked: ready casino brands with source code from $8,500 to $47,500 as a one-time licence with no GGR share. Hosting is a separate cost for the operator. The other providers quote on request.
Is self-hosted the same as owning the source code?
No. A provider can install a closed build on your server without giving you the code, and a code licence can still forbid resale or publication. Ask for both points in writing: where the platform runs and what the licence lets you do with the code.
Do I need a licence if I host the casino myself?
Yes. Where the servers stand does not replace a gambling licence. Some regulators also set rules on where player data and servers may be located, so check this before you choose a data centre.
